This is a product review I’ve been thinking of doing for a long time now. If you follow me on Instagram or on Twitter, you might have seen me talk/post pictures about it before. It’s something I was a bit skeptical about when I was buying it because it was new, and at the time, did not have that many reviews about it. I came across it in Sainsbury’s just a few weeks after it had been released, and I was quite amazed at how sweet it smelt – so I bought it regardless.
It’s been a few months since it was released now, and I’ve searched around, and on the Boots website (I love Boots bdw), a few reviews said that it wasn’t as good as I thought it was. I was actually pretty shocked at the reviews…
Sorry for the weirdness and kind of bad-state-of the photos. Because I’ve spent a lot of my time since finishing exams at my grand-parent’s house, most of my daily essentials has been relocated to their house so that I can go over as soon as I get up, and make my grand-dad breakfast, lunch etc. I guess I was too lazy to take a proper picture of the shampoo bottle, but it stands out, and you can read it all anyway….yeah…moving on.
I loved this shampoo. (I say loved, because I’ve finished using the entire bottle already.) – I’ll be off to buy some more later on this week when I get around to it. If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll notice that I’ve been quite busy, and I’m just running all over the place this month! Anyway, I’ll go about my usual subheadings with haircare reviews.
This smell is just awesome. It smells like the bubble-gum Herbal Essence’s shampoo which I love. This Schwarzkopf shampoo is new, and different, but I still love the smell! It just overpowers all the other smells you have if I have to be honest with you.
Smoothness, and texture
The colour of this shampoo is really transparent, and smooth. It’s quite thick though…it’s just a bit weird. It’s thick, but it’s kind of runny, which is weird to have to say that…so I’m going to move on…
It does make your hair shiny, and a bit more oily, but I wouldn’t suggest that you always use it to wash your hair. I think it works better as a conditioner if I have to be honest with you. If you use it once a week, or twice a week if you wash your hair everyday, it would mean that your hair is just nicely conditioned and smooth all the time. It really does work well with the Toni and Guy leave-in conditioner I’ve blogged about earlier this week. If you’re not sure about it, try using it each time you wash your hair, and then if you feel that it is too oily or greasy, wash your hair with this shampoo once a week – you’ll notice the difference, and you won’t need to use a shampoo the other times you wash your hair.
In conclusion, I really like this shampoo. It does make your hair shiny, and the shampoo itself does look really crystal-ly, so it does actually do what it says on the bottle. It wins. I like it.
